Are we all just sad and minuscule souls dwarfed by the infinite multiverse?
Mark Williams (Matthew Broderick) is an ordinary, run of the mill man, a little bit boring truth be told. He always wanted to be an astronomer but has settled for a job teaching at New York City's Hayden Planetarium. His son doesn't speak to him and his marriage is much the same as his career, normal if a bit boring. Mark is so close to the infinite universe, in fact, that his wife Anne feels worlds apart. All of this changes, however, after a chance encounter with his student and single mother Angela following one of his lessons. The Starry Messenger shows the effect of this affair on a group of people who are, like most people, everyday and unremarkable.
The Starry Messenger is coming to the West End at Wyndham's Theatre for a limited 3-month run starting 16 May and ending 10 August 2019.
