Shan Ako biography Shan Ako is a well-known singer, songwriter and guitarist from Croydon, South London. She achieved a degree in Music Business, after which she began to tour across Europe and the UK, playing the lead in Whitney Queen of the Night. Born on 17th January 1993, Ako was a contestant in X-Factor Series 15 who wowed the panellists with her performance. On her first performance, she sang “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman, and the judges praised her with a standing ovation. Although she made it to the quarter-finals, she didn’t make it to the finals. Influencing her s R&B, soul, jazz, reggae, folk and gospel music; which led her to self-produce music as a teenager. Her lyrics are usually filled with inspiration directed towards the young generation. Theatre: Her theatre credits include Les Miserables (West End Staged Concert Revival, 2019), Les Miserables (West End Revival, 2019). TV: She was seen in an episode of Lorraine (2018).
