Natalia Osipova and Ivan Vasiliev have enthralled audiences around the world, capturing their admiration and imaginations as few dancers have in many years, whether performing together or as soloists. Dance superstars Natalia Osipova and Ivan Vasiliev return for a limited engagement of four performances in a spectacular programme titled Solo for Two.
The pair will dance two world premieres commissioned by the Segerstrom Center for the Arts for them. The first of the world premieres will be Passo by Ohad Naharin, artistic director of Batsheva Dance Company, with music by Autechre and Greensleeves English traditional folk music. It will be followed by a new work by Arthur Pita called Facada, danced to music by Frank Moon, Phil King and traditional Portuguese fado.
Solo for Two is a co-production by Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Ardani Artists will be presented in London by producer Sergei Danilian. The show uses a mixture of live music and a recorded soundtrack.
